Kory joins Chips Des Moines as Director of Baseball Operations. Prior to joining Chips, Kory spent twelve seasons coaching college baseball, the last nine at Valparaiso University (NCAA D1, Missouri Valley Conference). While at Valpo, Kory was the program's recruiting coordinator, hitting coach, and outfield coach.
Kory's tenure at Valpo saw fourteen players go on to play professional baseball - three of whom were selected in the MLB Amateur Draft.
Valpo's 2023 season saw the team finish second in the conference in batting average and first in OBP. Valpo's 2024 season saw the offense hit the second most home runs in program history and the first ever back-to-back 50 home run seasons.
Kory's players received numerous honors during his tenure including a freshman All American, a conference Freshman of the Year, one MVC Gold Glove winner, seven first team all conference selections, and eleven second team all conference selections.
A native of Columbus, Ohio, Kory attended Wittenberg University where he played baseball from 2007 to 2010.
Kory resides in Adel, Iowa with his wife (Dana), two sons (Kal and Casey), and daughter (Collins).
